I'm rooting for Bauke Mollema. The Belkin squad has been pretty solid so far this year.

Cannondale has a 19-y/o on their LBL team. I hope he finishes.

I will be pulling for Gilbert. I like his chances after watching him at Amstel.

Obviously I'd like Dan Martin to win again but if not then Rodriguez as I feel sorry for the guy coming second so many times.

root for whomever you want, but Valverde is going to win (IMO, of course), barring mechanical failure or crash.

Spoiler

Gerrans, Valverde, Kwiatowski, Gilbert back in 8th.

Dan Martin's back wheel slips out and he goes down on final turn with 300m to go and in 2nd. I thought he was going to do it again but saw him ride in so hopefully he's ok.

Yeah Martin was looking good up to that last corner!! What bad luck..

Sounds like he just hit a patch of dust or something.

The way Gerrans was sprinting in those last 200 m I doubt Martin would have done better than 2nd.

On the replay it looked like a pedal strike, mild but enough to slip the back wheel. His inside pedal was right at the bottom when he lost it in the corner.

I think you're right if not it was darn close and his wheel went just as he went through the bottom.

Yea,I saw that. I just wonder as no pro would actually come out and say yea, I clipped my pedal or my technique just sucked.
