Does it drive anyone else crazy that you pay for the NBC TdF stream and their version of full-screen isn't full screen and has a rotating banner ad at the top? I'm fine with paying for content, but I don't want an annoying banner ad that takes away screen real estate on top of that.
I bought the iPad app again this year and am pretty happy with it. It seems to work properly, except one instance of flipped video when looking back at the Cavendish crash from Stage 1. The live stream is working well with few glitches though that may be because I have a fast cable connection. And, unlike the TV live stream which seems to cut to commercials every 3 minutes, no commercials at all! As far as I'm concerned, it's highly recommended. Well worth the $15.
I have the iPad app too. Unfortunately the live video won't play and I can't get any response from technical support. Luckily it plays on my iPhone but I'm really frustrated. I bought it after trying to watch Nbc sports and hating the millions of commercial breaks.
The app is brilliant when it works.
I'm actually waiting to see if they'll come out with an update.
I can't figure out why it would work on my iPhone and not the iPad. Funny enough the iPhone is Jailbroken but the iPad is not.
I've been streaming English and European football for years, and the best site I know of, currently, is sportlemon.tv. You don't need to download a player for it and it will have several streams available, in several languages. The wiziwig streams always suck, make sure you have an ad blocker plugin downloaded and enabled, and use google chrome or firefox. If you're mobile, use an app called flashfox with an adblocker.
Also, for those of you having problems with your iPads or iPhones, or if you hace a samsung galaxy s5 or equal, they don't support flash. You can always find a browser in market/store that will support flash, like the flashfox browser I use to stream football and cycling on my s5. You won't need to subscribe to anything, but you may be able to upgrade the app for a small fee to get rid of banner ads.
You can download Sopcast, a webplayer(it even has a record function now) which will allow a higher definition feed, but your cpu and bandwidth better be up to the task or it will lag and buffer. If you download any kind of third part player/program for this type of thingRUN A VIRUS SCAN BEFORE YOU INSTALL IT. Even if all you can get is Russian video on this, you can usually find a free audio stream somewhere.

Are you guys aware of Hola.org? Been using that to stream itv.com and Eurosports to watch the TdF Stages and also the World Cup, way better than OTA here and I don't get ESPN....
