Kreuziger will not ride the Tour de France
"Roman Kreuziger has announced that the Cycling Anti-Doping Foundation (CAFD) has found anomalies in his biological passport between 2011 and 2012 and that he is under investigation. As a result of today's news Tinkoff Saxo has confirmed that Kreuziger will not ride the Tour de France." -- cyclingnews
"Anomalies" from 2011? This is why I think the UCI has to go. Not only is the timing absurdly suspicious, but at the very least it is a clear indication of the incompetence of both UCI and CAFD. CAFD is supposedly completely independent of the UCI, but if you look at the financials of both the UCI and CAFD it tells a completely different story. Of course one look at https://www.uci.ch/ makes me wonder what the UCI really spends it's budget on, looks like something from the 1990's.
I'm no particular fan of Roman Kreuziger, I think he is perpetual under achiever. But I do believe in a fair competition and this has to be a massive blow in the 11th hour for Tinkoff-Saxo. Was really looking forward to the tdf, but now I'm thinking it will more la grande debacle than grande boucle.

It seems the investigation has gone on for a year or two now. The rider has been submitting information, the CAFD recently said they don't accept the argument so the investigation continues, and the team apparently decided to pull Kreuziger from the TdF squad. So it isn't like the CADF just now raised an issue from 2011.
