I cannot believe Talansky went down again! Arrgh! He was in the lead pack and looking strong. I didn't see what happened, but this one is bad. I think he lost the Tour today.

TJ made a nice run today and picked up some badly needed time.

Did you watch Nibali sucking Contadors wheel on that last climb? Man, Nibali was staring him down and I think he showed Contador that he won't be pulling away from him in this Tour! Nibali is looking like the man to beat.

The way Nibali was staring at Contador's butt at the end seemed a bit odd. As though he was uncomfortable & desperate to stay on his wheel. Normally you keep your eye on others, but are looking ahead.

Yeah I thought Nibali looked like he was in a daze, with a very strange look on his face and was gasping for air at the end. I thought Contador looked pretty relaxed.

I was thinking the opposite. I thought Contadour looked relaxed in the final stretch, as if to gesture "I'm going to bury you in the next few days". Either way, I hope they duel it out this week to keep it interesting.

You could be right. Phil Ligget, Paul Sherman and others seemed to agree with you, not me.

However, the fact that Contador couldn't break away from Nibali at all must have him a bit worried given how much time he has to make up.

I think Contador isn't worried after yesterday. It was an easy climb AND a first mountain stage and he himself said (of course, he might have been bluffing) that he didn't think he'll manage to drop Porte, Valverde and Nibali. Yet he dropped everyone bar Nibali who looked like he would have cracked if the climb was longer. Plus he showed that it was premature to say that his team is too weak.
After that stage, I'm even more convinced that Nibali will crack in the mountains. I hope it won't happen too fast though.
