Buncha nancy boys if you ask me. I remember when I were a lad, me dad broke a pedal spindle during a 12-hour time trial. He simply got a bolt out of 'is saddlebag, pushed it between 'is achilles tendon and 'is ankle bone, screwed it into t'pedal, finished race and then rode 'undred miles back 'ome.

If e'd been in Froomey's position, e'd have steered it wi' 'is teeth clamped to his 'andlebar stem. Nay, lad, they were proper 'ard men in 'is day.
