I'll be riding my bike in the early morning to avoid the triple digit afternoon heat. I could care less about this stage.

Now or never. He shouldn't waste energy on the intermediate sprint points.

That Cat 4 is still 13km from the finish. I don't think it'll be big enough to shed Greipel or Kittel if they really want to hang on. And then there's Kristoff in flying form too.
Sagan's going to have to be a lot more clever than he has been if he wants to win this one.

He shouldn't, but you know he will.

It should be one of the big 3, Kittel, Greipel or Kristoff.
I would have thought Kittel in a runaway, but Shimano's lead out hasn't looked as good as usual. Kristoff has been a big surprise, at least to me, and he has been consistently at the front on the sprints. Greipel has a win, and he was in good shape for another but crashed out, so he is also a big threat. Should be a good one between these three.
I still don't see Sagan beating these guys in a sprint finish.

Nice that Navardauskas has been able to "save" another Grand Tour for Garmin like he did in the Giro last year.
The stage Bauer was caught at the line was a heartbreaker.

Quotes from Sagan on the Tour website;
[h=1]Peter Sagan: "I was first to crash"[/h]Points classification leader.
"I don't know why I've crashed. I was in a good position... for crashing. I believe it's because of the wet road. I couldn't stop anymore. I was the first to crash. I'm not hurt. I just felt I fell on old injuries. But there's nothing bad. I hope to make it to Paris, with the green jersey, which was my goal at this Tour de France."

Glad to see Garmin salvage this stage win out of this. I'll have to wear my Garmin-Sharp T shirt down to shop at the hardware store today .

Kind of funny that Sagan was the first to go down, considering how much bragging and butt-kissing the whole NBC/SN broadcast team was doing talking about Sagan being the best bike handler any of them had ever seen, like ever, like the best, like unbelievable! To a man, they all thought he was going to take todays stage because he could handle a bike better than everyone else.
Ironic, eh?

has Frank Schleck entered a race and not crashed? guy spends more time on the ground more than he does upright. With Degankolb there it would have been a big ask for Sagan to get that on in the end anyway i think.
