Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Redline Cyclocross bikes???

Anyone have opinions on the Redline Conquest 'cross bike for a newer racer?

I found them at a super low price, but I've never ridden one. Any thoughts would help.

I've had a Redline Conquest Pro for years and my wife has a heavily customized Conquest Sport. The older aluminum frames handle very well and I would guess that the newer carbon frames are similar. Redlines are very popular in the PNW and handle CX conditions very well. The carbon frames with the CX specific 36-46 cranks are more raceworthy than the aluminum bikes with 50-34 cranks but you could always switch out the chainrings and tires later if you decide CX is your thing, or just use it as a general purpose bike. A CX bike with 32C slicks is pretty fast on the road and more comfortable than a standard road bike.

I have a Redline Team Conquest pro carbon with CX1 and TRP linears. With my alum tubulars, she's 16 lbs. I have raced CX and gravel on her and think their a great value. Great bike!

They're nothing special, but certainly not bad!

They have been at making CX bikes at decent prices for a Long time , Back then other than them You had to get European CX race bikes ..

now as You see its a saturated market , every brand has something in that niche.

The Redline Metro Sport is positioned as a road alternative bike *** touring bike *** adventure bike *** gravel road bike.
