Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". Looking for a fork

700c. Disc brake. Capable of fitting at least a 50 mm fender, to clear a 40 mm tire underneath.

Looking for recommendations.

Soma has a good variety of steel forks. Good luck on the search.

You can use a Longer blade fork to give you Mudguard space, but then you may raise the head-tube and change part

Of the steering Geometry , then to correct that, the fork offset is changed, so the trail

a distance on the ground , between the head tube axis line and the plumb line down from the Hub axle.

Can remain as You prefer.

So.. Not so simple .. I have no easy answers .

you need to collect more data than brand names.

Something with roughly a 400mm axle to crown will work. Plus or minus a bit. My current fork is right around there; the height is right, but the width at the fork crown doesn't work. I need something just a bit lighter.

The Soma straight blade fork looks like it will work. But I was hoping to keep the weight down closer to the Nashbar carbon fork...which doesn't quite work.
