tektro mira or lyra?
hi guys my 1st post here,
my friend recently got a new bike with tektro lyra fitted in. I have mira on my own.
I was wondering which one is a better brake?
lyra seems to be lighter, but doesnt have a mud-proof cable etc.
any opinions on this?

Last week I set up a Diamondback road bike for a work buddy that has Tektro Mira. These are the first disc brakes I set up and found them easy to set up and also underwhelming. I had to basically preload the brake pads a lot for the levers to not bottom out on the bar tape.
The cable bolt shredded and I had to go to home depot for a late night replacement. The metal of the stock bolt head was way too soft.
By 'mud proof cable' do you mean the little rubber accordion cover? If so, that really doesnt seem like anything to base a decision on.
After setting them up, fine tuning, and using them...I dont understand the love. They stop the bike just like my cantis.
