Using a Single Fork Rack Mount Bolt for Cargo Cages?
Hello all,
I have a specialized AWOL with a single rack bolt on each side of the fork and I was thinking of using these in conjunction with King Cage Universal Support Bolts to mount a pair of blackburn outpost cargo cages. I was thinking using the rack mount bolts would be better than just using two of the Universal support Bolts on each side because I know the rack mount bolt won't twist when I'm going over bumpy roads. Any ideas on what to watch out for? I was thinking of protecting the fork with helicopter tape, maybe using an extra long bolt for the rack bolt and maybe a spacer because the king cage adapter bolts won't be screwing into the fork. Is there anything I'm missing? Anything else I should be thinking about? Thanks so much for the input.

I love my AWOL but they really should have designed the fork with a more versatile set of mounts. That was dumb.
