Flyte XLS-3 v Axis

Hi -
I'm interested in a cyclocross bike - Primarily for commuting. I want something comfortable for 30+ mile rides, fast, and able to take a beating. I love the PoPrad, Jamis Nova, Bianchi Axis. And then I found Flyte.
I think bang for buck, the Flyte is a winner - does anyone know anything about their frame quality, the FSA components that they use heavily, or teh Bontrager 29" wheelset ?
I can get Ultegra on a Flyte for about the same as the Tiagra/105 on the bianchi.

Thanks in advance!!

The price and spec seem pretty good but, I don't like the loooong top tube for a beat around bike - at least on the 60cm frame. This one seems more oriented toward cross racing than commuting. Also, the largest tire that will fit is 34C which, is not big enough in my opinion. The bottom bracket is a bit high for commuting also. I believe the frame should accept at minimum a 38 tire.

My favorites so far are the Specialized "Tricross Comp" and, the Fuji "Cross Pro". I also like the Jamis Nova and Aurora bikes, as well as the others you mentioned. If price bang is the priority then the Ibex "X-Ray" certainly deserves consideration.

I have a Flyte cyclocross bike. I've put 38c tires on mine without problems. Mine was built up using Campy components, with Campy Scirocco wheels and Campy Centaur gruppo. Yeah... I like it a lot! The ride is smoooooth compared to my Cannondale R400.

I was going to buy a Surly Crosscheck but then I found out how much they weigh. :-(
