i'm going to enter the chicago cross cup tomorrow in the singlespeed division. i think i've got the gear ratio thing down, but have no idea what psi i should inflate my tires to.
the weather forecast says it'll be partly sunny and 26 farenheit, and there'll probably be a little dusting of snow on the ground. any insight is appreciated.
It depends on the course and how much you weigh, but I usually run around 45 psi on the back and 40 psi on the front (and I haven't pinch flatted yet this season, so I think this is probably even on the conservative side). I weigh 165 lbs.
