Recreational Cyclocross and Gravelbiking This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like :The Dirty Kanza". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Tire question (no I'm not looking for a rec)

On Sunday (12/11) I'll be entering my first 'cross race. Naturally I HAD to get a new set of tires. (Michelin Mud 2) Mounted them tonight and noticed they have a directional tread pattern. Anybody know if there is a right way to run them? Looked all over the packaging and the tire but there is no indication.

I just put a pair of Mud's on a set of wheels and simply placed the tires on such that the labels were on the right side of the wheels. Did a couple of races on 'em and didn't have any problems.

Colorful Labels should be drive-side. (99% sure).
