Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

cross popularity and distro in europe?

hi

can anyone help me with a few questions regarding cross and the cross industry in europe (east and west)?

the three things i'm trying to establish are firstly which countries are most passionate about it (through participation primarily), secondly who are the distributors for cross products (which i guess is a by country thing) and finally are there any dedicated on-line stores?

anything anyone can tell me would be much appreciated.

cheers

gavin

I think you will find that the Belgians are pretty passionate about cross.

cyclocrossworld.com is good for finding some of the odd necessary equipment for cross.

Theres a fair number of cross races in the UK, the Notts & Derby league regularly gets 150+ riders (age 6 - 80) at an event, and the last west midlands league event (29 Jan 06) had 155 riders.

For onlline stores most of the big UK cycle shops, deal with cross components
