New Cross Ride

I finally got my new bike up and running this weekend. All Campy Chorus 9 speed, including hubs with Mavic Open Pro Rims. Did my first "Cross Ride". Great. Got snowed on, muddy, cold, water bottles froze. This is the way it is supposed to be, right? Thanks to everyone who gave me advice.

They are the Elite "Bajiji" cages. They only fit their special water bottles, not the standard sizes. These where left over in the garage from my road bike (bottles too small for long summer rides), so I put them on my Cramerotti. They are light, but not incredibly so, and sorta easy to access on the fly.
I am amazed at the ride. I have only been on dirt roads here so far, but it is more fun than on my Sugar 1 MTB. I'll try and find some trails today where the snow is not too deep. It got cold here Sunday night and is 8 degrees out so all the mud is nice and snow is frozen now.

Noce ride! I. too. put a bottle cage on at this time of year...

On a recent ride, it had just rained for the last couple of days. The ground on the caleche road was damp, with puddles in places, but not yet sodden. When I went out, the temp was about 2C, but it dropped from there. As the temp got below freezing, the muddy spray started hardening on my boke. AT first it was just a thick slime on the downtube, BB and chainstays, but it got harder and thicker, until I couldn't shift and I had to test the brakes every few minutes to break off the ice. My shoes were coated in a thick brown layer of ice. This is how it should be.

Very Nice Bike.... I especially like the colors...
I too just got my Cyclocross bike and I've been riding it every chance I get. Hopefully the Mountain and Road bikes don't get too jealous!

At first I wasn't sure about the colors when I got the frame from Cramerotti, but it seems to be popular with the cross crowd. I have decide to try and accentuate the colors instead of hiding them. My road bike is a Colnago CT-1. Titanium frame, black carbon fiber fork and rear triangle, black saddle, Zipp 303 Rims. Black handlebar tape. Very Stealth. This is quite a change.
I am about to skip work for the afternoon and go on a ride with a friend of mine who will skip work as well. Ahhhh!! Life in the mountains in winter.

Looks to me like you've got it dialed in. Nice work!
