FYI: why the litespeed appalachian isn't on the 2003 list

Notices
Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Alex,

Thank you for your inquiry. We are no longer making the Appalachian as a stock frame. We still are making the Appalachian as a custom frame. In the years past the Appalachian and the Blue Ridge have been the same frame with different components on them. This year we are making the Blue Ridge with a longer head tube and a shorter top tube to get the rider in a more relaxed position. Also the Blue Ridge has longer chain stays for more heel clearance and a longer wheelbase for better tracking. So we can make the Appalachian as a custom order anytime, we are just not stocking them. I hope that this helps. If you have anymore questions, please let me know.

Many Happy Miles,
Chris Burt

That's interesting, I'd noticed it was absent from their site. Thanks for the info.

Also, the disc brake fork they show in their catalogs is actually only a prototype, and they are not going to make it... Too Bad!
