Sandy cleats remounting

I've been riding cyclocross for one year and usually after the run up I just like normal hop back on the bike and keep mashing it, today I was running up a sandy run up and the thought came in my mind should I stomp my foot on the pedal one time to get the sand out or is it really not worth it, I only had my pedals jam up once because of that so it probably isn't worth it, what do yall think?

Probably not worth it. I live in sand and the only clip problem I've had was with a wood chips over mud combination.
