Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Cassette question

When riding my fuji comp cross on grass, dirt, etc. I'm generally in the small chain-ring and often in the larger cogs in back.

I'm rarely in the large chain-ring, except when I'm on pavement or off pavement going down-hill.

Should I consider a larger rear cluster? What size?

thanks.

what are u running now? 12/25 is very common for cross, and 12/27 is good too. sometimes i run an 11/23 if the course is fairly flat/fast.
