I don't believe it's possible. I know you can adopt DT shifter to work with barends, but not the inverse.
Given the choice, I'd go with barends over Kellys.

An errant piece of flak tore a hole in a wing tank and, like a wounded bird, this is where she landed, not to return on this day, or any other day.

the answer is yes. But they do reccomend DT's over Bar Ends probably because the DT's are longer.

That's sort of a weird question:
Shimano indexed bar end shifters mount just like downtube shifters but have a different lever shape. I don't believe you'll be able to actuate the levers on the take-offs because the angle of actuation is different but perhaps I'm wrong about that. I can't remember if Chris made those things so that you could pivot the keyway around.

Thanks for the reply.
I like the Take offs on my older Raleigh Technium Friction shift.
I would prefer a smaller lever and was thinking of going to a 7 speed F.W. from 6 and switching to indexed shifting. I have a new Sora derailer I could use.
I could never get the Suntour Accushift to work consistently since I bought the bike and have used the friction mode. I may Just try it out first by grinding down a set of Friction shifter from the parts bin
Thanks
