Recreational Cyclocross and Gravelbiking This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like :The Dirty Kanza". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Wow! CX rocks!! (first Cross training race)

Last night was my first experience with cross. We have a local group that runs a training race every wednesday night and I was finally able to attend and did I have a blast! I've known how to do a cyclo cross dismount for years now, but I've never really figured out the remount, but last night I was able to do it perfect (no hop!!). I managed to surprise a few of our local cross racers by doing that.

I'm on my way to being hooked on this. My first race will be coming up in a couple of weeks, wish me luck!

Tim,

If you are talking about going to Hendersonville on Sat. I would highly reccommend it. Its a UCI C2 race and the course will be outstanding. The NC Winter cup is a great series too.
