BB size for an '05 Bianchi Axis?

Hey Everyone,

I'm planning to replace the stock crankset (Sugino triple/ square taper) on my 2005 Bianchi Axis w/ an FSA compact double that I have, which uses an ISIS bottom bracket. Does anyone know what size bottom bracket I need? Is it the standard 68x108mm?

Thanks!

No, I dont think so, Just finished a ssemblying a 2006 Axis, Using a set of old 105 square taper cranks witha single 42 tooth chainring I used a 68x113 to get a good chain line. Im going to bet you need at least a 68x110 if not a 68 x 113.

Really? Wow. I didn't think you got out to 113 unless you were doing a triple. Good thing I didn't buy one yet! Perhaps I should go down to my LBS (where I bought it) instead of just buying on eBay. Thanks for the advice.

I got sidetracked, so am actually going to order this week. Now I'm thinking about taking the mega-exo crank/BB from my road bike, putting it on my 'cross bike, and just getting a 108 BB for my ISIS crank, which I know will work on my road bike setup.

Ahh, I see. Now that makes more sense to me! How do you like the single ring setup? What size chainring do you use, and w/ what gearing in back?

This is my first season runing a single frt. Curently running a 42 tooth front and a 11/32 sram mt bike casette. Shifting is flawless evan with an old sora der. But when I get some funds I am going to replace it with a mt der. So far this is an ideal set up for me. and the way I ride. I tried running an 11/25 and I thought that was going to kill me
