Voodoo Wazoo

I've been looking for a steel cross frame for awhile now, and I've been intrigued by the Voodoo Wazoos on E-Bay. Great price, but virtually no feedback that I can find on a search of this forum. Does anybody own one or has anybody ridden one?

One thing that really puzzles me is the ones on the Bay come with a 71.5 HT angle and a 38 mm fork rake. I can't seem to wrap my brain around this. Most other frames have much bigger rake (43 to 45), but also steeper HTs, usually around 72.5.
I plan to use this bike for mixed use, dirt roads, fire roads, some singletrack, long mixed road, and maybe an occasional race.
Thoughts?

I was looking @ one before I bought my Ridley. IMO, I'd look around town for a deal (I got my bike for 1/2 off). The voodo looked nice, but not great. That said, I didn't ride or see one. They could be awesome.

I just picked up a used one off the Atlanta CL.... I've only had it for a couple days and ridden just around my 'hood, but so far my initial impressions are superb. I thought my Crosscheck was a lively frame, with a forgiving ride, but the Voodoo is far superior. I have the advantage of it fitting me like a glove, but it's snappy and responsive, supple, and feels very solid despite the 22lb weight under my 240lb carcass. I have yet to get 'er out on the dirt or gravel or mud, so take that for what it's worth.

I had one that a really regret selling. It rode super well. The sliding dropouts were nice to run it singlespeed, and while I never used the disc tabs, it was nice having that option too. I thought the metallic blue paint was insanely ugly though. It also chipped if you looked at it wrong. But it's a 'cross bike, not a garage queen. Ride the snot out of it, ding the paint up, and then get it powdercoated the color of your choice. I'd love to find another one.

I just built up a Nakisi as a gravel grinder. I've had it out twice so far - very nice frame.

markm109 -- What kind of bars are those? The look like Gary's or Woodchippers. I like.
