    My newly built Redline.

I feel compelled to share. I just got finished building this Conquest pro frame a few days ago. I am feeling really happy with it so far...the bonus that I didn't even really think of while building it is that the bike comes in at about 18.5 lbs.

Well, I got some deals though team sponsorship, but it was largely about a years worth of accumulating parts.

As for the ride, I am mostly really impressed. I love the SRAM group, and frame handles nicely. The only complaint I have is about the redline carbon fork...it is really flexy. I see why they put the ritchey fork on the team frame. Oh well. I will probably end up changing it out when the race season starts.

nice to hear some one else out there likes sram groupies. I was gonna run a sram groupie but i found for entry level of building my own bike it was not cost efficient. next bike i go with is gonna be a LBS bike with a switch out for all SRAM components.

also nice to hear feedback on the ritchey fork, i was curious about both the ouzo pro and the ritchey but still debating on which one i should go with.

    ever ride a ouzo pro?

last thing... what are you using as a stem, and headset? I'm surprised you didn't go 100% carbon.

BTW, the bike is sweet ! I can't wait to have mine built up

The stem is a thomson x2 and the headset is a cane creek s6. I don't know. I was tempted to get a ritchey carbon 4axis stem to match the bars, however my final decision was all silver components. Largely because you just don't see stuff set up like that all that often.

I have never used or known anyone who has used the reynolds cross fork. A friend of mine uses the road fork and has no complaints. Right now, for high end carbon my top choices would be ritchey WCS or Alpha Q.
