Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

new to the board, new bike

Hi there. I just bought a Specialized tri-cross sport. I had been looking at road bikes, (Allez, Jamis Ventura Race). I saw the tri-cross on sale, rode it and it felt great right away. I have a '94 Hard Rock Ultra that I used to ride alot before marriage and kids. I haven't really ridden in at least 6 years, and I wanted to get back into it since kids will be back in school, I just turned 38 and want to get healthier.
I am 6 ft tall, and thought a 56cm bike would fit me well. I rode the 54 Tricross, and it really felt good. I tried 56's in the allez and another Kona, but I didn't feel near as comfortable. I can't wait to get back out and appreciate riding again.
