Frame change ??

I currently ride a 2006 Brodie Romax.

I don`t race but i love to ride my cross bike on long fast paced rides where ever
my curiosity might lead me.From paved roads to whatever types of trails and paths
and whatever season.
I don`t want to sell my bike and buy another one.
I don`t want to give up having disc brakes.

I thought about just buying a disc compatible frame that was both light and durable
and had a more race oriented geometry than my Brodie which seems to be a little
on the relaxed side.

I`ve already swapped out lots of parts to save weight.
The only thing i have not changed is frame and wheels.

My bike currently weights in around 22 1/2 lbs.
I would like to know what is available in a disc specific frameset
that is still somewhat reasonable in price.
All my other components are worth swapping over to another frame.

Thanks

I think you are silly.

Save up for a road bike and go nuts on and off the road.

I already have a road bike that i put a lot of miles on.
I like to ride my cross bike when the weather is less than ideal
and when i look to get off the pavement.

Romax seems pretty race-oriented to me . . . I mean, most cross bikes are designed to be a bit more stable than a comparable road bike. Is it the weight you are concerned with? Maybe just upgrade the fork to some carbon job?

Seems like most of the truly "race-oriented" cross bikes don't come disc-compatible, presumably to satisfy the UCI's outdated rules on brakes.
