Recreational Cyclocross and Gravelbiking This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like :The Dirty Kanza". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

First Cross Rides

What a blast. My first was a group ride on road and trails that ranged from graded dirt to something I would consider approaching single track. This was just a semi-organized group ride on Sunday. Next was last night, an open cyclocross training ride, 40 minutes on some trails with barriers in Danielson, CT. There were some really good riders there, but it was a big enough loop that everyone spread out pretty quickly, I never felt in anyones way. That course was all dirt and a real blast. I'm really loving the Jamis Nova I just bought, I'll be getting road tires for it as it's my only bike currently.
