Recreational Cyclocross and Gravelbiking This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like :The Dirty Kanza". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

oddball fork question

I'm really kind of confused about the design of my Ritchey WCS Cross Carbon fork. The top of the crown is really, really wide, so wide that the headset (which I don't yet have, but will be King no threadset) will not mate neatly to the fork. In other words, it looks like a lot of extra fork where the fork and headset meet. If this makes no sense, maybe I can post a picture.

Does anyone know if there's a reason for this. It may bother me aesthetically but if it's a functional problem, that's worse....

thx--

it sounds like you have a fork designed to be intrgated with the frame. this is a popular design for road bikes and it makes for a clean look.
