Recreational Cyclocross and Gravelbiking This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like :The Dirty Kanza". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Cyclocross Bikes For Under $550

While looking for commuter bike options, I stumbled across cyclocross bikes as a good, sturdy, reliable option for my commute of 10 miles. I like the Giant TCX and have test rode it at my LBS, but it's 750. I have seen a few Jamis Ventura Sports for 399 online but not in my size.

What are my options for my price?

I have searched by the way and did not see any options under the mega list of cyclocross bikes.

Thanks!

Used, or bikesdirect as mentioned above.Or you could get an aluminum hybrid that will have many similar features, but with flat or riser bars.

Try the commuting forum, if that's what you'll be using it for.
