35mm SpeedMax to wide for CXP22?
I currently run an On-One Il Pompino w/ some Mavic CXP22s' laced to Formula hubs. For tires I run Conti Ultra Gatorskins on the street in a 28mm.
According to the Mavic site, the CXP22s can take up to 28mm tires. Do you think the Ritchey SpeedMax tires in a 35mm will be just too much?
I'm not planning any hardcore off road riding, just some trails and fire roads to get me used to riding off road.
So am I pushing my luck in running the 35mm tires?
i've run that exact combo before, no problems.

I've run tires that wide on plenty of road rims with no issues. I don't see why the CXP-22 would be any different.
I also run the speed max on my open pro's and no problems there either.
Manufacturer recommendations for tire compatibility tend to be very conservative.
