Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Cyclocross Season??

All of the cyclocross series (that I know of) take place in fall/early winter. Why is this?

The US Nationals are the end of Dec. World championships are end of January. That leaves February/March to start preparing for the road season.

Also, the sport was designed as "off-season" training in Europe. The obstacles were designed to keep the speeds slow during the nasty winters. Man, I love the agony of cross!
