How many roles does your cyclocross bike play?
Commuter, touring, racing off-road, training on-road.....
I should share that I ask because I am really considering purchasing one and want to know just how versatile this type of bike can be.

Mine Gunnar Crosshairs has been a road bike:
A touring bike:
A stripped down fixie:
A bike for carrying a child seat (unfortunately I don't have a pic with the seat installed):
A trailer tower:
It's also been an off road fixie, a drop bar fixed, etc. Strangely, never actually a cross bike (by me, the PO was a cross racer). Maybe someday.
It spends most of its days as a geared road bike.
Changing bikes around this way is certainly cheaper than buying new. More fun, too.
