Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

If I have $2000.00 to spend on a cross bike, is the Motobecane Fantom Cross Team Ti the best one out there for the money, or is there a better option? Thanks.

It depends on what you want out of the bike, as well as other factors.

..

I just want a better than average quality, lightish, very durable cross bike that will hopefully last me the rest of my life. I'm NOT interested in racing...just trying to keep up with my kids - grassy fields, gravel roads, some mud, some 'mnt bike' trails, etc.. Thanks.
