Carbon cross fork upgrade from Winwood?

Anybody have any experience with a stiffer carbon fork than the Winwood?
I have the Winwood and it is too flexy for me when I really have to get on the brakes. I have Avid Shorty 6's.

Any recommended upgrades other than going with some sort of metal?

thanks in advance.

Oh yeah, it needs to be a one incher.
