Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Cyclocross racing with toe ovarlap.

Iv'e recently purchased a Alan cyclocross frame 54cm , i'll be racing on this in 31/2 weeks time. But it does have toe overlap of about 3cm. Will this make my first cyclocros race much harder or is this normal on some cx frames and you just adapt to it. Can you change this by using a fork with a different rake.

Overlap isn't a big deal IMO compared with other issues, as long as the frame is the correct size.

More important than overlap, is getting familiar with how the bike handles. Take it out to some local singletrack, and then go to a park and practice doing switchbacks around trees and such.

you may, MAY, notice toe overlap once or twice over a 15 race season.

You'll quickly get used to it. Not worth switching anything on the bike to fix.
