Recreational Cyclocross and Gravelbiking This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like :The Dirty Kanza". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Nice video.

Seeing how fast everyone else was going through the sand made me feel really slow. I was barely maintaining enough speed to stay upright. I think I'm going to tell myself that this footage must have been shot later in the day when the rain made the sand firmer. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Andy, all joking aside, you actually have a point there. The earlier groups definitely had a rougher go of it through the sand...I saw way more people getting stuck and going down in the early groups, than in the later groups. In fact, the rakers were trying to fluff it up more in the afternoon, but but then it was more compacted, and riders were indeed having a better go of it!

Thanks for taking a look!
