9 speed crank for cross

Lookin to upgrade my truvativ elita crank for the next cross season...any opinions?
not interested in goin 10 speed...i'd just need to replace all the other parts and i don't have the money for that.

You can use a so called 10spd crank on a 9 speed drivetrain. You are not supposed to go the other way around, but it has been done with success.

chainlove has deals on RaceFace Cranks that seem pretty nice.

BTW what are you looking to gain by upgrading the crank?

I dont think you are going to get a lot more stiffness from just a crank upgrade (do a search on BF you will find some pretty good info)

Are you going to go external BB or stick with an ISIS (I am guessing that is what you have.)

i'm upgrading everything (frame included) but i just can't decide on a crank

Shimano BB and crank is always nice and you can pick them up cheap from probikekit and chainlove has been been busting them out as well.

New SRAM looks nice and the Rival is hollow now. If you have money you can go Red with Ceramic BB
