Recreational Cyclocross and Gravelbiking This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like :The Dirty Kanza". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Tektro CR720 & mountain/linear-pull levers?

It says in the CR720 manual that they are not compatible with linear-pull levers, but I'm switching from a drop bar to a flat bar and was wondering if I definitely had to buy new brakes. Has anyone used mountain levers with the Tektro CR720? Thanks.

They still make short-pull and adjustable-pull mtb and bmx levers. No problemo.

sheldonbrown weighs in on this and the answer is to use levers that are not designed for linear pull brakes
