Should i buy this bike?
He is asking the equivalent of 850 usd.

Bluschke titanium 58 cm, Mavic Ksyrium SL tour de france limited
Record levers, chorus cranks, daytona rear shifter, xt front shifter.
Frame is 5 years old, the wheels are a bit newer.

Seems like a good deal.
First question. Does it fit?

Dont know yet, the seller lives on another island 150 miles from here so i havent tried it yet,
i just saw the ad today.
My other bikes are 57 or 58 cm's so maybe i'll go there and have a look and try it.

I dont really know anything about cross bikes yet so i wanted to hear some opinions
before spending spend 3 hours and 80 bucks to go see it in person.

Maybe i should get him to measure the top tube, should it be the same as on my road bike?

My only concern is that the steerer tube is cut almost to nothing- in fact, it's cut so low that he doesn't have room for even a cable hanger (look where his cable is). If your normal seatpost height is anywhere near what he's got in the picture, you'll be hunched over the front end unless you replace the fork. A high-rise stem would alleviate this if you want to go that route.

Yes, that will most likely be a problem, i'm not gonna ride with that ridiculous saddle to bar drop
and i'm not really a fan of riser stems either.
I think i'm gonna wait and see if something else turns up,
though there is not many cross bike for sale round here.

The fork looks like of genero, anyway, so I wouldn't stress about the steerer tube. Head tube looks like a pretty healthy length, in any event.

I think for the quality of frame and parts it's a very fair price. And if you ride a 58 road, the cross bike ought to fit fine. Sure, I'd try to compare top tube, as well.

It looks like it may be nice. You usually want to decrease your reach and seat height by 1cm or so for cross riding and decrease your saddle to bar drop by a cm or so as well.

You can always get a new fork as that aluminum one may be a little unforgiving and heavier than more modern cross forks.

Dont be afraid of a raised stem for cross. Who cares it is cross.
