Fenders?
I just scored a used Trek XO1 and making I'm making a few changes to the setup. I replaced
the nobbies with some more road worthy 28c tires and I'll probably go with a different crankset since I'll never go off road. I bought this bike for those less than desirable weather days and I'm thinking of adding some fenders. Do you guys have any ideas what types would work best and are they fairly easy to remove for those dry days.
Pics would be great too!

I bought the "quick release" fenders from Planet Bike (SpeedEZ). It turns out that the fenders still require you to bolt them to the frame. There are just less bolts. It makes me think that the primary market for them is bikes that don't have fender eyes on the dropouts.
They're a little hard to tweak. And they're a little floppy. So When I hit something they jump around and make a little tire contact. Makes me want to buy a Salsa Fargo so I'll just have a different bike for wet days or times when I want to move a little cargo.

I have the SKS 45mm fenders, they're the kind that are "permanent" as they bolt in place. My bike has eyelets at the chainstay bridge and fork crown in addition to the eyelets at the dropouts.
I have found these fenders to be very solid. I keep hitting the rear on the floor when I stand the bike on its rear wheel to walk it out the door and the fender stays in place, never loses alignment.
Try those.

SKS for the win. Tried a couple others before I finally listened to everyone else. Took a little work to get them to fit just right on a Cannondale X7 Disk but they're perfect now!
