Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Which bike:2006 Lemond Poprad non-disk or 2008 Jamis Aurora Elite?

A bike shop has both of these and I'm trying to decide between the two. The Poprad is the orange one. The Aurora Elite I am told is just a rebadged Nova.

So Lemond Poprad or Jamis Nova (Aurora Elite)
Poprad frame: True Temper Ox Platinum (alum fork)

LEMOND POPRAD OR JAMIS NOVA??? which is better bike?

It's actually a 2008 Jamis Aurora Elite, but it's a rebadged Nova.
I'm never going to race cross or anything. It will be used as a road everyday type of bike. I know it's easy to say the Aurora since it's the touring bike, but I want to know which is the better bike. Thanks

I have an 05 Poprad and have been pretty pleased with it. I upgraded the fork to the carbon fork that sold with the 07 or 08 year. Pretty nice bike overall.

I was also looking at a Jamis back when I was shopping but couldn't find one locally. If you have a chance to ride them both, that would probably be your best way to make a decision.

I have the aurora elite and I use it everyday. Had it for over a year now. I like the bike. It rides great and is more comfortable than the lemond for me. I changed a few things on the elite though, another set of wheels, saddle, and you need to change the front brake. The bike is incredibly smooth but doesn't feel clunky like many touring bikes. Its a perfect commuter but still fun to ride on the weekends.
