Miyata almicross?

Anybody have any reviews of this frame? nothing turned up on a search of this forum. And only a couple of brief comments elsewhere

My sister has one of these. I ride it all the time.

The frame has a fairly nice ride, but the handling (at least in her size) is funky due to the extended fork rake. I think the reason for the extended rake is that it is a steel fork and needs to have a significant bend at the dropouts for comfort over bumps, i.e shock absorption (at least that was the thinking in the 80's). This in effect gives the fork a lot of trail (I believe that's the correct term), so steering feels slow and the front tire feels like it wants to wash out on fast corners.

Otherwise a nice frame. I'm thinking of swapping out the fork for her.

Pleas note that her frame is a smaller size (approx 50cm), larger frames may have a different geometry.
