2008 Bianchi Axis
Hey everyone, I just sold my 2008 Cannondale Capo and am looking for a good cyclocross bike that will allow me the advantage of riding safely on some of the rougher terrain/streets in my area. I really like the simplicity of a single speed/fixie but wouldnt mind going back to gears. I haven't gone to my LBS yet, but I know that they have a Felt Breed, which is a cyclocross fixie for $850. However, JensonUSA has a Bianchi Axis for $880, what should I get? The Bianchi Via Nirone7 also looks like a good deal, but I want the versatility of a cross bike.

Personally if I had the funds I would buy the best Bianchi cross bike I had the money for. I have a few Bianchi road bikes and an older Project 3 and would buy a Axis in a second if I could afford it.

I would definitely go with the felt breed or bianchi san jose with drop bars for SSCX. As for a geared cross bike I would go with a Surly Cross Check or even a Soma Double Cross.
