best matching left brake lever to pair up with mirage 9speed ergo?

I'm thinking canecreek scr or tektro R200? Do these have the same shape hood as my right mirage? My mirage is an ebay find that doesnt have the hood and i figure if i pick up the scr or the r200, i can modify the right hood to accomodate the shifter of the mirage? Can anyone confirm?

The Cane Creek/Tektro levers are a good visual and ergonomic match to Campy 9 and 10 speed ergos.

As far as modifying the hood to fit, you may want to give these guys a look before you do that. Their product will likely be a much better match. Also, you can buy aftermarket Campy hoods for something like $25-30.

I thought Campy designed their shifters for repair? (Unlike Shimano.) So if you email their distributor you should be able to get hold of spares, including the hood.

I've got one bike with Tektro and one with Campag Mirage. They've never been at the same address for a side by side comparison but I think they feel and look similar. However I suspect the Campag shell beneath the rubber is much larger, because of the shifter hardware.
