Specialized Captain CX Pro
I was wondering if any one had any experience with this tire or currently is running it on their CX rig? I wanted to know how it did in sand/mud/loose dirt/etc.

Bump it up. The LBS's in my town have a pretty limited CX tire selection, I need to replace a rear fast and this seems to be the best choice. Opinions?

I just picked up a pair, I'll let you know after this weekend. It looks like it will perform very well in loose/muddy conditions.

Pleeeease let us know. This tire looks awesome. I run captain control on my xc bike and they're awesome. I'd hope the cx equivalent will be just as good.

I've gotten a few rides in on my Captain CX Pros so far and I like what I'm feeling so far. I'm running the tires at about 35lbs PSI front and rear, they are great for the tame singletrack near home. They shed mud fairly easily and they roll fast enough on pavement as well as hardpack. I've also taken them out on some short limestone trail rides and they hold their own there as well. I've taken some tight turns at speed and climbed up a couple of short steep hills with no issues. I think that they'd serve someone very well in a CX race.
