Recreational Cyclocross and Gravelbiking This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like :The Dirty Kanza". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Slowly getting there - Poprad soon to be in commission

Nearly done with the build. Just waiting on a few parts.
Looks to fit me "ok", could use a smaller frame but I'll see how this works for now.
Tough when you are looking used.

2001 Lemond Poprad - Ultegra 9speed brifter groupo going on.

Too bad it'll be only commuting for the next 10 months!

Lemond bikes have some of the best paint and decal jobs in the 2000's IMO. That looks like a great bike. Almost too pretty to take to a cross race.

If you feel the frame is too big, it might be worth posting on some local forums or craiglist and see if anybody wants to trade for something smaller.

That's 853 steel right? I can't stand Trek bikes, but I really like Lemond bikes prior to Trek getting their hands on them. Looking forward to your finished build.
