D2 Fang cyclecross Shoe

I'm getting some new shoes and need a custom fit so I am going with D2 and was wondering if anyone had experience with the D2 Fang Cyclecross shoe. I'm trying to decide between this and the Mtn Ascent shoe. I don't really need the cleats. Beside the cleat option the difference seems to be the flex in the sole. I'm actually probably going to use them mostly for my commute where I have this quarter mile stretch where I have to walk through this tunnel and am wondering about the trade-off between walking comfort and riding efficiency and the sole flex. Anyway, I wanted to know if anyone has actually tried either model.
