Airborne Carpe Diem in aluminum?

Have a chance to pick up an Airborne Carpe Diem (with cf fork from brand new ALAN 'cross frame) for a pretty fair price. While I do see some reviews of the normal Ti version, I have seen no references to the aluminum version. Does anyone have any experience with or much knowledge of this?

THanks for the time.

Everything I've read on Airborne frames is that when they were Ti, it was made by them. They were purchased by another company and then the Airborne name started showing up on less expensive aluminum frames. Still may be a good frame, but it's nothing special anymore.
