Colnago WC?

Hello,

My Kona JTS was crushed in a MVA rear-ending while it was on the bike rack. I'm thinking of replacing it with a Colnago WC. Are there any opinions of the WC with 105?

My other option is to build up around what's left of the Jake's group. I would need to have a good line on a 60mm frame/fork to start.

Thanks. I am beginning to wonder if reviewers ever even ride the bikes they write on. In two or three years of reading every rage I can get my hands on I don't think I've ever read a bad point outside of phrasing good points as not great for everyone such as stiffness and race handling.

Is $2000 for an Al cross/105 bike. Too much? The Kona Jake the Snake is $1500. Is the frame labeled Colnago worth $500 more? Weight does seems to be a few lbs less.

As much as I love a Colnago that doesn't seem worth it to me...lots of options out there in that price range. A Masi CXR with carbon fork and similar components can be had in that range too... *shrug*

After some thought I bought one anyway. My reasoning: I think it is spec'd slightly better than the Kona and I like and trust the shop that sold it. Having wanted a Colnago for the better part of two decades tips the scale in favour.

I`m looking forward to picking it up and putting some serious miles on it.

Too right, though it will see snow before mud this year.
