Recreational Cyclocross and Gravelbiking This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like :The Dirty Kanza". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

tufo tyre sealant

Has anyone had success using TUFO sealant as a preventative measure?

Doesn't it just dry out inside?

I've just got some cross tubular-clinchers, and couldn't decide whether to put any in or not.

Also, any tips to stop the valve clogging up?

Store with the valve on the lower side of the wheel. Inflate with valve on the lower side of the wheel. If it ever clogs up, just remove the valve core and clean out. Never had that happen. It takes about a year or so to dry up, so it's longer than the tire will probably last. The tires I was using last season still leak sealant when I refill them with air until I sold them. It works on small punctures.
