thinking of racing cyclocross
I've heard there are a lot of races in my area, but I don't know where to start.
I don't even know if I want to do this.
How do I find the races, the teams, whatever?
What else should I know? And what else should I be asking?
I have 35 years of cycling experience, most of it non-competitive, but I'm strong and skilled on a bike.

Try https://www.midatlanticcross.com/ and https://www.njbikeracing.com/
Also I think there is a weekly cross practice at Rutgers, I think the signup is on bikereg.

Give it a shot! It is misery and fun all lumped together. I would recommend giving a clinic a shot first.
All races can be found here and I highly recommend pre-registration, since a lot of the fields fill up.

Definitely do it, but be warned cyclocross racing is like crack. Only try it if you're prepared to give up thinking about anything else between August and January every year.

I had my first cross race (first any kind of cycle race actually) today. I wasn't in great shape either, but it was incredible fun and i'm hooked as well. Definitely do it.

I just did my second race today, second race of any kind in fact.
Actually it was the second race this week, so much fun.

What've you got to lose? An entry fee? 45 minutes of your life to see if you'll fall in love with an awesome sport. Give it a shot!

Go out and give it a shot. It is too much fun to really describe so just get out there.

OK, I'll give it a try. Gotta built a pair of wheels and buy a pair of tires.
So where do I report?
